Winter Is Over. Time to Photograph Some Spring Weddings in Byron Bay, Lismore, Ballina and Grafton

Traditionally weddings in Northern NSW take a bit of a break over winter – and I don’t know why because the weather is normally superb. It’s sunny, warm and doesn’t rain much. Compare that with the popular months of February and March when we have tropical heat, humidity and torrential rain.

Spring is also a great time for a wedding in Byron Bay, Lismore or Ballina. It’s getting warmer but isn’t stifling and if you get married in October or November you can have your photos with the gorgeous Jacaranda trees in bloom. Particularly in Grafton and Lismore.

For me, spring weddings are kicking off this weekend. I’ve got a fabulous wedding to photograph in the hills behind Byron Bay and an engagement photoshoot overlooking Byron. It’s going to be great fun.
