The sun was getting low in the sky last Saturday and pumped out some gorgeous golden light as we grabbed some wedding photographs on the beach at Byron Bay before heading to the reception. Here’s a quick photo from Sam and Andy’s wedding. More pics to come soon.

Kingscliff Wedding Photography Album

Natalie and Jonathan were married last year on 11-11-11 at Peppers at Salt, just outside Kingscliff in Northern NSW. I posted about their wedding here and now they have their wedding photography album. So it’s time to share. Byron Bay Wedding Photography Album

Here’s a look at a wedding album I have just delivered to the happy couple. Anna and Andrew had their wedding ceremony at The Summerhouse overlooking Byron Bay with a reception at Italian at the Pacific right in the heart of Byron. Anna and Andrew’s day was laid back and casual, but also very, very stylish. I posted some pics from their wedding previously here. Their ceremony was delightfully co-ordinated by Creative Weddings.

I think the fun and relaxed but stylish wedding is reflected beautifully in the album. What you can’t see in this slideshow is the feel of the album itself. It was made with a gorgeous custom black leather cover and printed on a textured paper that gives the album an added level of luxury. Come and see me at the Ballina Bridal Expo on March 25th and check out the album for yourself. I loved it so much I’ve had a copy of the album made for displaying in my studio.

Lighthouse Ceremony, Surf Club Reception. Yamba Wedding Photographer

A couple of weeks ago I had the immense pleasure of being Bianca and Michael’s wedding photographer in Yamba. I’ve got a soft spot for Yamba because it reminds me of holidays I went on as a child to places like Woy Woy, Umina, Kiama and Merimbula. I love how some parts of Yamba have no kerb and guttering. The grass turns to sand and the sand drifts into the road. Kerbs are like having a tucked in shirt and tie. Yamba’s roads are like a loose tshirt hanging over a pair of wet board shorts. Every day is a holiday in Yamba.

It was holiday mode for the boys as they got ready for the wedding. There must have been 10 or a dozen surfboards stacked up near the front door of their apartment and the beers were flowing. Things got serious quickly though when one of the groomsmen discovered he had left his suit back at home on the Central Coast. Of course Yamba isn’t known for an array of fine couture so they couldn’t just go buy something. It was time for a pants swap and everything worked out nicely in the end.

Bianca and Michael had their ceremony on the headland beside the Yamba lighthouse and the reception at the Yamba surf club. They got ready for the wedding just around the corner so there was no need for bridal cars. We just walked everywhere. It was a superbly relaxed, laid back, beachside wedding in perfect weather. And a super attractive couple for great wedding photographs.

There was a decent swell running on the wedding day and I didn’t want the bride and groom getting swamped so positioned them poolside well out of the way of the waves.

And then this happened ….

Just some damp feet. It was all good.
